Deck & Covered Porch in Tega Cay, SC – Custom Outdoor Living Space

Project Overview

This deck and covered porch project in Tega Cay, South Carolina transformed the home’s outdoor area into a versatile and comfortable living space. Brigmon Construction designed and built a custom deck with a partially covered roof system, creating the perfect balance between open-air and shaded relaxation.

The Existing Space

The outdoor area lacked a defined structure for entertaining or relaxing, with no protection from sun or weather. The homeowner wanted a more functional space that could be used comfortably throughout the year.

The Challenge

• No existing covered outdoor space
• Need for a durable, well-integrated deck and roof structure
• Electrical requirements for lighting and ceiling fans
• Desire to maintain both covered and open deck areas

The goal was to create a flexible outdoor environment that offered both comfort and usability.

The Solution

Brigmon Construction built a brand-new deck and integrated a custom roofed covering over half of the structure. This design allows for a shaded, protected area while preserving an open section of the deck for sun exposure and versatility.

The covered portion was outfitted with ceiling fans and full electrical installation to enhance comfort and usability. The roof structure was designed to seamlessly connect with the home, ensuring both durability and visual appeal.
